Even the standard rooms are quite spacious. All have been well furnished and decorated and look very elegant. They also feature all the modern conveniences you’ll need, from flat screen TV’s and full size desks Active guests will find a fully equipped fitness centre onsite, and so have no excuse to avoid that scheduled workout. There are also indoor and outdoor pools, allowing for a refreshing dip throughout the year. Business travellers have a centre dedicated to their needs. The onsite Piano Bar is a stylish place to enjoy one of the hotel’s signature cocktails. Le St-Martin Hotel & Suites is well placed within downtown Laval, with its best shopping, dining and other amenities within short walking or driving distance.
An incredible number of guests mentioned that the hotel was exceptionally clean. It was actually a little unusual to read a review that did not, in effect, commend the housekeeping staff for doing an excellent job keeping both the rooms and public areas of the hotel spotlessly clean.
Guests were clearly impressed with the interior design of the hotel. They describe the public areas as grand, and the décor throughout as very well thought out, creating a space that was at once elegant and sophisticated.
On the whole, guests were happy with the location of the hotel, saying it was in central Laval and not too far from most of its amenities.
The swimming pools seemed to cause a lot of disappointment amongst the guests. They reported that both the indoor and outdoor pools were exceptionally small, and impossible to actually use for anything as outrageous as… swimming. They described as being more like oversized hot tubs…without the hot water.
Those guests staying at the hotel more than just a day or two reported that the breakfast simply didn't change from day to day, resulting in their palates becoming jaded. They would have liked for things to maybe mixed up a little from day to day
A fair number of guests pointed out that the fitness centre was not so much a fitness centre as a fitness room, and did not have the range of equipment they needed to complete their workout.
