Many guests appreciated being a stone's throw from local amenities such as cafes and restaurants as well as the hotel's own general store which is across the road from the main building. Those who were keen to visit the centre of town found it handy having the tram stop literally on their doorstep.
Pleasant places to relax and socialise.
Guests were pleased to find that they did not need to leave the premises in search of somewhere to relax and enjoy a few drinks as the hotel has various communal areas. Many said that they thoroughly enjoyed the live music at the on-site night club while those looking for something more tranquil mentioned that they welcomed the opportunity of being able to unwind in the comfortable lounge.
Good food and plenty of choice.
The hotel has several dining facilities which the guests found very convenient as they were able to choose from a wide range of options. Many complimented the quality of the dishes at all of the on-site restaurants stating that the food was well-prepared whilst the menus were described as extensive and imaginative.
Rooms on the small side.
Quite a few guests objected to the limited amount of room in their en-suites while others also mentioned that they couldn't move around comfortably in the bathrooms due to the tight space.
Tiring climb to the rooms.
There is no elevator on the premises and guests who were on the higher floors said that they found the daily climb to their accommodation quite cumbersome and tiring.
The hotel overlooks a rather busy road and those on the lower floors said that they could hear traffic as well as late-night revellers. Others mentioned that due to thin walls they were disturbed by noise from adjoining suites.
