The hotel is decorated in the style of a loft apartment and is therefore very cool and modern. Pretty much all of the technology within your room such as the television, lights and temperature are all controlled via an iPad. There is free Wi-Fi available which is reliable and fast.
The neighbourhood is described as very up and coming with a trendy vibe and new developments. There are plenty of restaurants within approximately 10-minutes’ walk and a park across the road. Many rooms have either city or water views. The convention centre is right on the doorstep and if you wish to venture further afield the subway is about five minutes’ walk away.
Check-in is efficient and staff are happy to recommend local places to visit or to help you find your bearings in the area. Staff will go out of their way to assist you, for example checking you into your room early if it is available. Housekeeping staff do an excellent job of keeping the rooms clean.
This is a very new property and there still seems to be some teething issues, for example water spraying out of the shower cubicle, the air-conditioning units being unreliable and parking being overly complicated.
Despite being likened to loft apartments the rooms are quite compact and if you were staying long term this may become an issue. Some previous guests have reported having larger than expected rooms so there may be some bigger than others.
Most restaurants in the area are a little further out than you would hope and there is nothing right on the doorstep. The hotel itself only has quite a limited menu available.
