Hotel Waikiki Malia (Honolulu, USA)

Waikiki is one of Honolulu's most popular areas for its beaches, ease getting around and entertainment. Ohana Waikiki Malia has the advantage of being at most a ten-minute walk from Waikiki beach and the shopping at Kalakaua Avenue.

Guests of the hotel have access to a free Pink Line Trolley pass which is very handy for getting around Waikiki with a stop right outside the hotel's main door. It's a fun way to travel round the city from Honolulu Zoo right across to the Ala Moana area.

One highlight for many guests is the adjacent International House of Pancakes practically attached to the hotel which is convenient, particularly for a hearty breakfast. There are also a number of restaurants for different tastes within walking distance.

Although guests of the hotel have access to wireless internet in the lobby, this is the only place it's available and there isn't a lot of room to sit down and work, for example. There is however wired broadband access in the rooms.

A daily charge applies for the use of the parking garage which is quite tight on space and may not be suitable for larger cars. Guests have also complained about difficulty finding it at first so perhaps ask for specific directions at the reception or before your arrival.

Given the lively area the hotel is in, there are a number of bars and clubs nearby which attract tourists and locals alike. Some nights, this can get noisy if you have a room facing the busy street, however you can always request a higher room or one not facing right onto this street.
