The grounds of the hotel are lovely. You can easily sit with others, have dinner, a glass of wine, and just enjoy the charm and simplicity of the environment. Those not staying at the hotel are permitted to enjoy the historic grounds as well, which are well maintained.
The hotel location is great. A vehicle is not necessary. You can easily walk anywhere in Old San Juan. The area is fantastic for taking a stroll and the area seems quite safe.
The hotel offers a happy hour during the early evening every night. They serve a wonderful selection of cheese and wine. Not only that, you receive free water, coffee, and fruit throughout the day. These are nice gestures that make your stay at the hotel even more memorable.
The rooms are somewhat dark; then again, this may determine where your room is located and how much natural sunlight comes through. Still, even the décor is somewhat demure in color. However, you can still sense the overall beauty of the hotel.
