Saint James Backpackers is conveniently located in trendy west London, with great public transportation connexions, including the tube and buses. Guests said the hostel is tucked away on a quiet street but still close to many restaurants, cafes, bars and shops. You will be able to walk to majority of the area's museums as well as the famous Hyde Park.
Overall, guests were pretty pleased with the common facilities at Saint James Backpackers, as well as the clean rooms. Guests especially appreciated the well-equipped kitchen area and the convenience of a daily breakfast.
The staff at Saint James Backpackers is described as friendly, courteous and very helpful. Guests had a lot of compliments for the hostel staff and found them to be accommodating and knowledgeable.
Many guests found the hostel to be very noisy. Many guests tend to arrive late at night and even if your room is filled with early birds, the sound insulation in the building isn't the best. Guests complained about hearing neighbouring rooms' conversations, and slamming doors in the hallways. It is highly recommended that you bring some earplugs on your trip to ensure a good night's sleep,
The rooms at the hostel are of decent size but can become very cramped at full capacity, especially if your fellow roommates are carrying large suitcases. Several guests also found the bathrooms and showers to be very small as well. If you're looking to change in privacy, it can be tough.
The Wi-Fi signal is reported to be weak in some of the rooms.
