Positive Reviews

Their customer service is impeccable

Nearly every guest who stayed at The Fairmont Kea Lani agreed that the staff there is top notch. Many guests reported that the employees not only greeted them with a warm smile, but also frequently greeted them by name. Special requests were accommodated promptly and without fuss.

There's plenty of room to relax

Previous guests appreciated how spacious the guest rooms at the hotel are. They found that not only did they have room to spread out in their living rooms and bedrooms, but the bathrooms and private lanis, or verandas, were quite spacious as well.

The food is excellent

The Fairmont Kea Lani has many on-property dining options to choose from, with six different eateries including traditional Hawaiian cusinie, an ocean view bar, and fresh off the dock seafood. Guests especially enjoyed the delicious breakfast served at Kea Lani, which features a selection of local fruits and juices.

Negative Reviews

It can get a little crowded

Guests who stayed at this hotel when it was at full capacity found it to be just a bit too crowded. They complained of issues such as not being able to secure a chair by the pool, or having to wait an excessive amount of time to be seated at the restaurants.

The birds love this place too

Some guests felt that the bird population, and their accompanying mess, was getting out of hand. They found that some of the public areas, and in particular the pools, were covered in bird droppings.

It's very expensive

The Fairmont Kea Lani bills itself as a luxury resort and prices its rooms accordingly. Some guests felt that, while their stay was pleasant, the nightly rate wasn't really in line with the quality of the accommodations and resort amenities. For what they paid, they expected something a tad more luxurious.
