Igdlo Guesthouse Guesthouse provides comfortable and affordable accommodation in central Reykjavik, less than ten minutes’ walk from Hallgrimskirkja church, the Reykjavik Bus Terminal, Kjarvalsstaðir Reykjavik Art Museum and the Einar Jonsson Museum. Luxury apartments are offered in Reykjavik 101 and the Laugavegur shopping street is less than a mile away.

Single, double and family rooms are available, in addition to an eight-person bunkroom, and all rooms have wooden furnishings and flooring, shared bathrooms and free Wi-Fi.

BBQ equipment is found on site, as well as free parking, a laundry room and bicycle rental.

Several supermarkets are found within a short walk, and plenty of dining options are nearby in the 101 downtown area.

Handy to bus station, Hallgrimskirkja, downtown.

Those who stayed found the guesthouse's location handy, as it is close to the bus station for those who want to head out on excursions, likewise a short walk from the modern Hallgrimskirkja church and well placed for wandering downtown to explore the shopping and dining of Reykjavik. Having said that, it is said to be found in a quieter suburb, without being too close to all of the hubbub and tourists on the main strip of Laugavegur.

Accommodating staff, decent breakfast.

Guests spoke highly of the reputably friendly, kind and accommodating staff members, who they said were happy to help with local recommendations and directions. The breakfasts were also found to be a decent, reasonably-priced offering to get your day started.

Warm, comfortable, great value.

Igdlo Guesthouse is supposedly warm inside, clean and comfortable, and there is free Wi-Fi, complimentary hot drinks and overall good value for money on offer, especially if other guests have left behind some food. On top of this, there is reportedly also a nice common area and kitchen area that you can spend time relaxing in.

Shared bathrooms, but not a problem.

Although you should be aware that the rooms at Igdlo Guesthouse share bathrooms, those who stayed said that these were at least clean, with plenty of hot water and almost everyone had no problems at all.
