Positive Reviews

Elegant House, Grounds & Breakfasts

This is a beautifully-appointed house with impressive furnishings, many of which are antiques, and an airy open design concept throughout. There's an outdoor area complete with large trees, a fire pit, patio seating and flowering orchids, a gazebo and perfectly-maintained grounds. You'll find several shelves of movies in the common area as well as a toasty fireplace for a rainy night in. A bike rental is a block away for exploring the city's wineries, shops and cafes. And for the greatest highlight of all, you absolutely cannot find tastier gourmet breakfasts served in two courses of locally-sourced ingredients, homemade jams, granola and frittata, scones and baked French toast; the host's previous twenty-five years as an executive chef is quite evident!

Clean, Tasteful Rooms

These three suites are remarkable in decor and arrangement. Outstanding quality on the amenities and little extras left on occasion, like carafes of lemon water, chocolate-covered strawberries, or fresh lavender and bath salts for the tub are lovely touches.

Superior Hosts

The hosts, Kent and Nancy, are warm and welcoming, as is their resident dog, Finnegan. Knowledgeable on the area with plenty of brochures on hand, they'll be happy to assist with your day's plans.

Negative Reviews

Mind The Time

Don't be late for breakfast or your expected check-in time. The host keeps a fairly tight serving schedule for breakfast, so get clarity on that before going to bed. Also, if you must be late for check-in, do call and update them as a courtesy.

A Little Noise

Rooms located above the kitchen may hear the sounds of early breakfast preparations.  Also, those who prefer to open a window may hear noise from traffic and pedestrians outside.

Uncomfortable Beds

Beds are a bit on the firm side for some, as well as creaky at times.
