Skanes Serail is a four-star beach front resort situated in tourist zone Skanes Monastir, six kilometres outside Monastir. The resort features three on-site restaurants, a spa centre, and an outdoor pool.

The resort is home to 214 luxurious rooms and suites, each of which features a private bathroom with a bathtub, a TV with satellite channels and a private balcony offering views of the sea, swimming pool or gardens.

Skanes Serail also features free on-site parking, 24-hour reception, luggage storage, laundry services and Wi-Fi in public hours at an additional charge.

There are three restaurants at the resort: Le Sultan serving an international buffet, L ‘Emir offering an a la carte menu and a seasonal BBQ restaurant on the beach. There are also four bars, two of which are seasonal.

Air conditioning lacks power

Several previous guests say one of the small negatives of this hotel is the lack of power in the air conditioners, which meant their rooms were somewhat hotter than they would have liked.

There are bugs about

Previous guests were annoyed to encounter insects such as flies and wasps around the hotel and on the beach. Most reviewers did not notice or were not bothered, but this resort may not be ideal for those with a sensitive aversion to insects.

Smoking is allowed indoors in Tunisia and therefore at this resort, which many previous guests were unhappy to discover as it made dining in the restaurant a little less pleasant.
