About Lake Okanagan Resort

Set in an incredible spot, with commanding views out over the lake, Lake Okanagan Resort offers comfortable accommodation and spectacular leisure amenities available on its 300 acre grounds.

Accommodation ranges from studios to three bedrooms and features equipped kitchens and all the other amenities you’ll need for a great stay.

The extensive grounds contain all manner of leisure amenities, from a 9-hole golf course to tennis courts, outdoor pools and much, much more besides. There are also meeting and event spaces with fantastic views available.

The Vantage Pointe Restaurant and Lounge is the in-house restaurant and offers a seasonal menu and spectacular views. There are also BBQ facilities for those who would like to cook up a storm.

While there is so much to do at the resort itself, guests wanting to get away to the town will find Kelowna just a 25-minute drive from Lake Okanagan Resort. The area is also home to a number of great wineries.

Positive Reviews

Awesome views from the property

The resort's buildings are mostly situated higher up the hill from the lakeshore. As a result, they commanded incredible views over the lake, which impressed guests and left them in no doubt as to exactly where they were.

Great onsite marina

Of all the amenities available, it was the resort's marina that received the most favourable reviews. Guests mentioned that there was a popular Tiki bar down there and that they enjoyed being able to rent boats to explore the lake right from the dock.

Good food onsite

Those not self catering were happy to report that the food available at the restaurants onsite was pretty good, so they didn't feel the need to drive all the way into Kelowna for dining.

Negative Reviews

Steep steps everywhere on the property

Like any site built on a hill, this one seems to have steep steps all over the place. Guests reported that they sometimes got to be a bit too much, since there did not really seem to be any way to avoid them. Those with mobility issues would need to take this into account.

Poor customer service

A number of guests did not think that the resort's staff were very professional at all. Going by the reviews, it seems that many are not fully engaged, and instead of providing good customer service are simply coasting along doing the minimum amount possible.

Poor value for money

The overwhelming majority of the guests who brought up the question of value for money felt they had received especially poor value. The reasons given were typically that, while the room rates were exceptionally high, the accommodation was not up to scratch and many of the leisure amenities, like the pool, were simply closed for the duration of their stay.
