Positive Reviews

In a heritage building

Many guests have enjoyed the hotel's architecture. The property was originally built in the late 1920s and although it has been thoroughly renovated, it has retained some of its old world charm. The hotel embraces this old fashioned theme, so guests are able to feel like they have travelled back in time when staying there.

Close to everything

Guests of this hotel have liked how close the property is to attractions like Riverside Park and the Sandman Centre. The Kamloops Art Gallery is just down the street, while the Kamloops Museum and Archives is four blocks away.

Friendly staff

Past guests have appreciated the hotel's staff, saying that they are always very friendly. The check-in staff has been applauded by a number of guests, as they work hard to ensure that guests have everything that they need.

Negative Reviews

Loud area on weekends

There have been complaints about the noise levels in the area around this hotel on weekends. Victoria Street is the main entertainment district in Kamloops and has many bars and restaurants, so it can get quite lively at night.

Homeless people in area

Since the hotel is right in the heart of downtown Kamloops, there are homeless people who frequent the area. This led to some guests being uncomfortable walking around the city at night, since they were likely to be asked for change.

Poor breakfast room

Numerous guests have complained about the breakfast room. Breakfast is served in a banquet room off the hotel's lobby and it doesn't have any windows. Guests felt that the rooms lacked ambience because of where it is held.
