Jasper Tramway is located less than six miles from the hotel, Lake Annette is a five-minute drive. Athabasca Falls are 20 miles away and Marmot Basic Ski Area is 30 minutes away.

Pleasant Stay

Overall, guests were very pleased with the accommodations provided. The rooms are not new but well renovated and well maintained, clean, and comfortable. You'll have everything that you may need for a simple stay. In addition, guests enjoyed the strong, complimentary Wi-Fi, and plenty of onsite parking. Visitors with four-legged pals also appreciated the hotel's pet friendly policy.

The staff at Marmot Lodge is genuinely friendly, helpful and accommodating. If you run into any problems, they will try resolve it in an efficient manner. If you need good suggestions on where to go, don't hesitate to ask, as the staff is very knowledgeable about the area.

Central Park

Marmot Lodge boasts a great location in Jasper National Park. The hotel is close to Jasper, a little quaint village with many shops and restaurants, some of which are within walking distance. However, don't miss out on dining at the onsite Embers Steakhouse. Many guests enjoyed the food and experience they had, adding that the restaurant itself is quite beautiful.

Negative Reviews

Noisy Nights

Though most guests did not have an issue with noise, a few did mention hearing their neighbors squeaky floors or the railroad nearby. The trains run quite seldom and do not use the horn, but some rooms are less soundproof than others. If you're a light sleeper, it's a good idea to bring a pair of earplugs along as a precaution.

No Elevator

There are no elevators onsite. If you have a lot of luggage or trouble with stairs, make sure to request a ground floor room upon reservation or during check-in.

Dark Space

Some guests found the rooms to be a bit small and quite dark, adding that mild renovations and cosmetic touch ups, especially to lighten the room, would help improve the appearance.
