Positive Reviews

Beautiful Lobby

The lobby has a grand staircase that makes guests feel like they stepped back in time. Many guests say the staircase is one of their favourite things about the hotel. You can definitely enjoy a Downton Abbey moment, here.

The location of this hotel is not far from some of the most spectacular venues. Some of the favourites are the museum, and the aquatic centre where guests can take in a show, or view the many historical exhibits, and then eat in one of many quaint cafes nearby. All within easy walking distance of the hotel.

Guests state the outside of the hotel is cute and charming. The grand bar in the hotel is breathtaking and feels like a 1950's bar. Guests come back just for the bar and food, and many of the locals prefer to come there, too.

Negative Reviews

Not a Good Vintage

The hotel rooms have been noted by several guests to be run down and shabby looking. Those staying there have all remarked that the décor and all the furniture are very run down and threadbare.

Hostel, not Hotel

Many guests have reported having issues with the front desk in regards to the bill and additional charges being added to it. Problems, when brought to management, are not dealt with at all, and it is run more like a hostel instead of a hotel.

Cramped Quarters

Most guests report that their rooms were rather small and cramped, which was very inconvenient with the equipment and luggage that most bring with them when enjoying the Jasper area.
