Quiet and centrally located

The Matanzas Inn's location, thanks to it being a short walk from the beach and popular attractions in Fort Myers Beach, is a popular feature for many former guests. Times Square is just five minutes away on foot, yet the resort is positioned in what is considered a nice and peaceful area.

Clean and spacious rooms

The majority of past guests found the rooms at the resort to meet their needs. Clean, spacious and equipped with all the standard amenities you would need, the accommodations are suitably setup for a relaxing stay.

Restaurant is highly rated

Whilst it is not open at breakfast time, this has not stopped many previous guests from raving about Matanzas on the Bay, the resort's on-site restaurant. In addition, the restaurant is not the only highly rated dining option available - the accommodation's bar serves great pizzas based on overall feedback.

Negative Reviews

In need of updating

Despite reportedly being well-maintained, arguably the most common complaint about the Matanzas Inn relates to what is perceived to be a lack of modernization. Past visitors have noted that certain aspects of the resort, such as the private bathrooms, were dated during their stay.

Spotty and slow Wi-Fi

A number of previous guests that stayed at the resort have criticized the quality of the Wi-Fi provided. As well as the range of the Wi-Fi being inadequate, the overall speed of the wireless Internet is apparently far from an acceptable standard.

Parking can be tricky

Parking, according to some former visitors, can be troublesome at the Matanzas Inn. This is supposedly due to a limited amount of parking spaces, which is compounded by the fact that the resort's on-site restaurant - and thus parking lot - is open to the public.
