Most of the rooms have been refurbished and guests were pleased to find new carpeting and fresh decor in their suites. The furniture and upholstery were said to be of high quality whilst the bathrooms were also described as modern with up-to-date fixtures and fittings. .

Guests were pleased to find plenty of things to do at the hotel during their free time such as swimming in the outdoor pool, having a work-out at the fully-equipped gym or treating themselves to a relaxing massage. Many enjoyed spending time at the bar where there is a live Jazz band playing every night which has been highly praised by the guests. .

The hotel is located in the French Quarter close to many of the city's tourist attractions. Guests only had a short walk in order to reach many of the local bars and music venues as well as shops and grocery stores. If you like the idea of not having to drive whilst on holiday then you'll certainly appreciate this hotel's location.

Guests whose rooms were located at the front of the hotel objected to the amount of noise coming from the nearby bars and clubs on Bourbon Street which often lasted until the early hours and prevented many from getting a good night's sleep. .

The hotel is a popular venue for wedding receptions and also conferences meaning that the facilities can get quite crowded. Guests also found that noise levels would significantly increase at times when parties were held in the function rooms. .

Although there is a coffee shop on-site many guests objected to the lack of coffee makers in their rooms which inconvenienced some guests who wanted to make themselves a hot drink in the morning. .
