With its incredible location, right at the base of the ski lifts, Sommet des Neiges does indeed allow rapid access to the snowy summit, and is a grand property offering elegant accommodation. The rooms have been furnished and decorated to a high standard and look very elegant. They are also equipped with all you’ll need for a great stay, with some even featuring fireplaces and private balconies. Summer guests can enjoy the good life, poolside, on the spectacular pool terrace, while those travelling at any time of year can melt the day’s stress away in one of the four season outdoor hot tubs. Those not self catering have a number of great dining options in the surrounding village. The main attraction, certainly in winter, is the network of ski trails stretching out above the resort. Summer visitors may be more interested with the watersports activities on the lake, which is just 0.6 miles from Sommet des Neiges.

This was by far what most impressed guests about the hotel. It didn't even seem to matter whether they were travelling in winter or summer, all loved being right at the very base of the mountain, with the lifts mere steps away.
A very surprising number of guests mentioned that they really appreciated having underground parking available right onsite. Most were happy with the daily charge, and felt it was very convenient to have integrated and undercover parking, especially in winter.
While there are units of various sizes available, it seems guests in all of them were happy with how spacious they were. They clearly felt that there was enough room for the stated maximum number of guests in a unit, and didn't feel they were being crammed in at all.
A fair number of guests felt that the hotel had not really kept up a proper maintenance and renovation schedule, resulting in some rooms looking a little worse for wear. They felt that they needed at least a quick refresh, to bring them back into line with the property's standing.
A number of guests were very disappointed to find that the onsite games room was rather poor. It was said that it offered limited facilities to start with, and to add to the problem, many things simply didn't work, leaving maybe a pool tale or two to constitute the games room.
