Hotel Royal Kahana Maui by Outrigger (Lahaina, USA)

Outrigger Aina Nalu is located very strategically in downtown Lahaina. Guests love the in-town location which puts the hotel within walking distance of numerous shopping outlets, fine restaurants, and plenty of tourist attractions including Baldwin Home Museum (300 meters), Lahaina Harbor (700 meters), beautiful Kaanapali Beach, among other attractions. Kahului International Airport is a 40-minute drive from the hotel. .

The condos here are beautiful and very well-appointed with modern furniture and state-of-the-art amenities. The AC units in the rooms work just perfectly with very minimal noise. The rooms have windows facing the ocean so guests can enjoy the cool breeze of the seasonal trade winds. .

Admittedly, Lahaina beaches are not the best in town due to overcrowding. Guests really appreciate the large outdoor pools and the spa tub in this hotel with nice lounges and huts surrounding the pool area. .

Although the official check-in time at Outrigger Aina Nalu is 3pm, several guests have reported being turned away when they checked in right on time. Check-in sometimes begins as late as 5 pm. To aggravate matters guests have reported that the front desk staff is stiff and not very friendly towards guests.

The hotel has some hidden charges including a cleaning fee that is inexplicably not included in the normal booking costs. Guests have also complained that the hotel is not very clear on its parking policy and whether this is free or surcharged. Room service is also surcharged. .

If you come here hoping to catch some nice ocean views, then you are out of luck. Luckily you can stay in a garden view room with beautiful views of manicured gardens. .
