Along with affordable rooms the hotel also includes a free breakfast which is served each morning in the spacious hotel breakfast room. The breakfast is a self-serve buffet-style set up and includes fresh fruit, cereals, a variety of pastries and coffee, tea or fruit juice. This breakfast may be considered basic but most appreciate something quick and free to start off the day.

While rooms are generally quite dated, they are kept clean on a daily basis which includes the en-suite facilities. All staff from the cleaning crews through to the front desk personnel are polite, friendly and accommodating.

This hotel claims to be a non-smoking establishment yet guests frequently complain of cigarette odors, particularly in rooms as fabrics such as curtains and comforters absorb these odors. Some guests have even noticed burn marks in bedspreads and carpets, not good news for those sensitive to cigarette smoke.

En-suite bathrooms are showing their age and the wear and tear in some is more obvious than in others. General issues include outdated and faulty plumbing as well as some broken or missing tiles and tile lose tile grouting. Bathrooms are also small and lack proper ventilation leading to a musty or moldy smell.

Room walls are quite thin and it is easy to hear the activities of neighboring rooms. Guests also generally feel unsafe as the rear entrance doors are left unlocked overnight.
