Employees at this resort really worked hard, and many guests commented on the excellent service that they received. While response times for maintenance left a bit to be desired, guests had nothing but good things to say about restaurant and bar staff, as well as the front desk customer service.
Guests loved that they could book local excursions directly from the hotel, and found themselves in close proximity to ATV tours, zip-lining, horseback riding and snorkeling lead by a knowledgeable guide. Guests said that they felt they had access to some of the best tours in the area.
Guests spoke highly of the engaging entertainment for both adults and kids. They also appreciated the myriad of on-site activities, and there was never a dull moment with water aerobics, classes, and even free golf next door with the rental of a cart.
Some guests were lead to believe that this hotel was closer to shops and restaurants. But don't be fooled- traveling to nearby attractions often involved lengthy journeys complete with poor road conditions.
Some guests found what they wanted to eat, while others lost their appetite over watered down drinks and food that could be described as basic and even poor at times. Many thought that this resort could go from good to great with a few improvements to the menu.
Guests suggested brushing up on your Spanish, as many had problems communicating without it. Staff were friendly and personable, but it definitely helped to know a little of the local language.
