Positive Reviews
positive:
Amazing grotto hot tub.
A large open-air hot pool designed to look like the original Banff mountain hot springs, was a big hit with guests. The pool was a great place to unwind at the end of the day, and guests loved the cave-like design that was an ideal place to relax under the stars.
positive:
Welcoming atmosphere.
A cozy mountain experience was had by guests at the rustic Fox and Suites. From the towering mountains above, to the wood-burning fireplace in the lobby, guests felt like they were getting a true mountain vacation.
positive:
Convenient to attractions.
Guests found that they were in the middle of the action in under ten minutes on foot, with lots of interesting stops along the way. Leave the car behind and hop on a bus with your complimentary transportation pass provided by the hotel. Whyte Museum of the Canadian Rockies is a 15-minute walk, or stroll along the Bow River, also 15 minutes away.
Negative Reviews
negative:
Standard rooms a little cramped.
Guests staying in a standard room found their quarters to be a bit too small for their liking. Several guests wished they had opted for a much larger suite. A few guests also found the rooms to be dark, which contributed to the feeling that rooms were small.
negative:
Adjoining rooms could be noisy.
Some rooms were connected by a common door that didn't do much to muffle noise from the neighbors. Several guests wanted earplugs after hearing more than the usual closing of doors, or occasional footsteps. You might want to make sure you have a non-adjoining room for a quieter stay.
negative:
Lackluster breakfast.
While some guests were fans of the free continental breakfast, the majority of guests felt that it could have been a little heartier. Guests had the option to pay extra for bacon, but most thought that protein and other hot items should have been included, especially considering the rate they paid.
