Guests appreciated the shuttle to and from Indira Gandhi International Airport and the convenient location of this hotel, just a short walk from the Nehru Place Metro Station. Nearby bars, restaurants and fast food places were a plus as was the proximity to the city's business hub.
The hotel's ambience and what some guests described as old-world charm scored points from those who also found the rooms spacious clean and comfortable with modern and well-appointed bathrooms, efficient air-conditioning and good Wi-Fi connexion. Some of the rooms overlook the pool which guests also appreciated. Many of the hotel's guests are business travellers who are repeat visitors and say they stay whenever they're in New Delhi.
The hotel has a tea lounge and three restaurants serving Indian, Chinese, and international cuisine. Guests praised the quality and variety of the food and many described the Indian offerings as some of the best in the city. The breakfast buffet was also singled out for the choice of ingredients and guests had praise for the service.
This is an older hotel and some guests described it as past its prime and overdue for an update. Guest noted faded, dated furniture and a somewhat run down feel overall.
While the staff generally drew compliments for their courtesy and efficiency, there were reports of slow service and less than friendly attitudes.
According to some guests, the wine and food served in the restaurants was on the on the pricey side. Guests also commented that the hotel was rather expensive.
