Positive Reviews

Picturesque location close to local attractions.

Guests thoroughly enjoyed the picture-post-card views of the Highlands from their rooms and appreciated the air of peace and tranquillity surrounding the castle. Keen golfers were pleased to find several courses just a short distance away whilst many also appreciated being close to the beach and local amenities.

Lots of places to relax and socialise.

During their free time guests enjoyed sitting out on the patio with a few drinks whilst admiring the views. The on-site bar also proved very popular especially during cooler weather when guests said that sitting in front of the open fire was a real treat.

On-site restaurant ticks all the boxes.

The food served at the hotel restaurant was highly complimented by the majority of the guests who said that the dishes were well-prepared and made using quality local produce. The menus were said to be extensive and catered for various tastes and dietary requirements. The freshly made breakfasts were also said to be very tasty and the portions ample.

Negative Reviews

Wi-Fi issues.

Guests who wanted to connect to the Internet from their rooms were disappointed to find that the Wi-Fi signal was rather weak and intermittent. Many had to take their devices closer to the reception area where the signal was said to be stronger.

Tiring climb to the rooms.

Those whose rooms were located on the upper floors said that they found it quite tiring climbing several flights of stairs on a daily basis as there is no lift on the premises. If you have any mobility issues it's advisable to ask for a room on the lower floors.

Dated interiors.

Some of the guests mentioned that the rooms were starting to show their age as they objected to the dated furniture and tired-looking upholstery.
