About 9Hotel Central

With its loft-like design ethos, the 9Hotel Central appeals to guests with trendy modern tastes. The name is not a mistake, the hotel is very central, and ideally located for Brussels’ Museum Quarter.

Wi-Fi is standard in both rooms and public areas, of course, while rooms feature exposed brick and beams and a very sensual rainfall shower.

The unique, and very trendy, lobby offers a co-working space to hotel guests and locals working predominantly in the hi-tech industry.

Both full and popular express breakfasts are available on-site. The lobby bar, which is open 24 hours, is a big hit with those in the co-working space. As for other meals, just ask the staff for local recommendations. They will be more than happy to let you in on the “secret” places.

The hotel is in the Museum Quarter, and just 50 yards’ from the beautiful St Michael’s Cathedral.

Positive Reviews

Trendy industrial-chic design

Aside from the location, this is the most common compliment. Guests love the trendy design, with the exposed brick and beams, and say it is a bit like staying in an uber-stylish loft.

Steps away from Central Station and Grand Place

The location is mentioned again and again. Having the station so close is great for people arriving by Eurostar, or other intercity trains, and the Grand Place is a lively and vibrant square where guests get to see Brussels at its best.

Good value

Although prices do vary, many guests felt that they received excellent value considering the hotels trendy interior and very central location.

Negative Reviews

Standard rooms are on the smaller side

These rooms have been described as a little too small to be truly comfortable. Also, a number of guests commented that the wardrobe area was tiny, and only had space, and hangars for a couple of items. For longer stays, where you'd like to unpack properly, this could pose a problem.

Breakfast a little too basic

A fair number are disappointed with the breakfast at the hotel. A lack of fresh fruits is often mentioned, and in general the variety seems to be sorely lacking. Guests for whom breakfast is the most important meal of the day may consider grabbing something at a nearby café or bakery instead.

Many rooms face an ugly office building

Obviously nothing the hotel can do about it, but guests felt that this detracted from the very beautiful and trendy interior of the hotel itself. Some just vow to keep the curtains closed.
